ಅಬೌಟ್ ಒನ್ ವೀಕ್ ಔಟ್

less than one week until my life suddenly becomes 97% percent French. how does it feel? surreal, I guess. It is hard to imagine myself in this new place I have never even seen before. But I am absolutely and positively excited about setting up my room in the dorm after a long day of what will be fabulously easy transactions and interactions with banks and cell phone companies and train ticket venders :) I will write again when I am settled in Lille and hopefully will not have much to comment about the trip over the pond except that the plane food was delectable and I was able to catch some lengthy shut-eye.

  2. Hello, Lauren,
This is a great way to connect to all of us. I am signed in and on.
It was great to have you and your family for lunch on Saturday. Thank you for lunch and for your gracious gifts including the coffee from your Mexican connections.
    Love, Granddaddy

  4. You're going to have a wonderful time honey! If you need anything at all, you let me know...my people across the border can help (NATO people are quick on their feet, what can I say?) Be good, take lots of pictures, and enjoy all that France has to offer. Missing you in Alexander already. (And stay away from the milk in the box.)

  7. Day 1 went well - Lille is a beautiful city and your accomodations seemed wonderful (spacious). Good luck with orientation and getting internet access sorted. Go #57. I am now off to London.
